Dr. Elijah Wilder, DO, Psychiatrist

Dr. Wilder was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and has dedicated his career to advancing mental health and addiction treatment. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Campbell University before attending medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His passion for psychiatry led him to Duke University, where he completed his residency in Psychiatry, followed by fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati.

 

As a dual board-certified physician in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Wilder brings over a decade of specialized experience in treating mental health disorders and substance use conditions. He is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association, staying at the forefront of advancements in his field.

 

Before joining NuLife Behavioral Health, Dr. Wilder worked across diverse treatment settings, including inpatient, outpatient, detox, long-term care, and residential facilities. He previously served as Regional Medical Director for a nationwide addiction treatment network, overseeing care for thousands of patients. Additionally, he continues to contribute to academic medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience.
